About the Artist
Hello, my name is Robin Stewart. I
am a sculptor of One of A Kind,
Collectible Art Dolls.  My sculptures
are made from polymer clay over
wire armatures.  I sculpt people and
animals.  The average size of a
sculpt I make is about 4 ½” to 8”. My
main theme for subjects are fantasy
faeries, mermaids, artistic dolls and
regular people dolls to fit in one
twelfth scale miniature dollhouses.  I
passionately create each doll
individually without the use of molds
from the start to the finishing touches
of costumes and settings.

I am also a miniaturist.  I build
dollhouses and room boxes.  I hand
make dollhouse furniture,
accessories and miniature scenes,
all in one twelfth scale which is
standard dollhouse size.  I’ve been
making miniatures for the past 20
years.

I am also a proud contributor to
"American Miniaturist Magazine"
A publication distributed in USA and
the UK, where I write "how-to"
articles to teach different projects
and techniques. .  Above are two
issues where my work landed  on the
cover!
This is a room box I created to personify a Jazz
Club that my family owned in the late 90's,
"Serengeti" in Pennsauken,NJ.  It has the same
friendly happy feeling of the real club!
GOOD TIMES!
My picnic baskets from this issue will
soon be available for sale on the
miniatures page!  If you want one now,

"Art is constant tension and
release.  That is where the artist
lives, between the two or at any
time submerged in either.  The
challenge is never ending,
perfection is impossible; It could
always be different, better or
worse.  It's not important, just
process and striving to be like
the man who walks the trapeze,
maintaining balance".
